Ophthalmic interoperability platform

nexBox is a medical interoperability platform designed and made in Switzerland. It connects to existing ophthalmic instruments such as autorefractors, lensmeters, phoropters, refractors, keratometers, and consultation units, then translates their field protocols into modern standards such as DICOM, HL7 FHIR, REST API, or MQTT. It can also receive data from an EHR or clinical application to control compatible instruments. The data remains under the customer's control and can be integrated into the existing infrastructure without depending on an external cloud.

  • Each instrument must be validated according to its protocol, firmware, and cabling before deployment.

  • XML over SMB flows must be aligned with your IT security constraints.
  • Complex orchestration architectures may require nexRef or a dedicated integration project.
