Ophthalmic interoperability platform
nexBox is a medical interoperability platform designed and made in Switzerland. It connects to existing ophthalmic instruments such as autorefractors, lensmeters, phoropters, refractors, keratometers, and consultation units, then translates their field protocols into modern standards such as DICOM, HL7 FHIR, REST API, or MQTT. It can also receive data from an EHR or clinical application to control compatible instruments. The data remains under the customer's control and can be integrated into the existing infrastructure without depending on an external cloud.
Compatible with leading manufacturers
nexBox covers the essential workflows of a connected ophthalmology practice or department. Select a scenario below to see the flow in action.
« Connect your existing instruments to modern infrastructures: DICOM, HL7 FHIR, REST. »
Measurements captured by autorefractors, keratometers, or lensmeters are sent in real time to your Electronic Health Record, Hospital Information System, or PACS. nexBox translates proprietary serial protocols into modern open standards.
nexBox translates proprietary instrument dialects into open standards. No more custom development for every instrument and HIS combination.
